‘Let me transfer to Chelsea’… Absent from training due to rejection of the club’s offer

Moises Caicedo did not participate in team training.

Nizar Kinsella of the UK’s ‘Evening Standard’ said: “Caicedo was absent from Brighton’s training session on Monday in order to move to Chelsea. All offers from Chelsea have been rejected, but Chelsea are confident of signing Caicedo. “Brighton are estimating Caicedo’s ransom at £100 million (approximately 167 billion), but the player himself wants to move to Chelsea.”스포츠토토

Caicedo is Chelsea’s number one target. In the summer transfer window, a number of central midfielders such as N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek left the team, leaving the midfield vacancy and Caicedo to fill the gap.

Called ‘the second Kante’, Caicedo is already evaluated as a high-quality defensive midfielder within the English Premier League (EPL) even at the young age of 21. He is good at breaking the ball from a low position and is active in attacking. He is also good at handling the ball and serves as a starting point for build-up.

The player himself seems to want to move to Chelsea. Caicedo also expressed his desire to transfer to Arsenal through his social media when rumors of a transfer with Arsenal broke out last winter. This form of Caicedo continues in the summer transfer market. This is why Chelsea can actively approach Caicedo.

The problem is that there is no agreement on the transfer fee with Brighton. Chelsea have already made several offers, but all have been turned down. In addition, as Brighton has to prepare for the European Football Federation (UEFA) Europa League (UEL) next season, it is hoped that Caicedo, a key resource for the team, will remain in consideration of physical problems and the team’s power.

British ‘Sky Sports’ said, “Brighton think Caicedo will remain in the team despite Chelsea’s interest. Brighton rejected an offer of £80 million (approximately 133.6 billion) from Chelsea.” Chelsea are said to be preparing an upgraded offer.

Kinsella also explained, “Brighton CEO Paul Barber also stressed that the club expects Caicedo to be able to play in the EPL opening match against Luton Town at home.” The opening match between Brighton and Luton will be held on the 12th at 11pm (Korean time).
