Gangwon FC women’s soccer team ‘Orange FC’ participates in the Queen Cup.

Gangwon FC announced on the 11th, “On the 9th, the Orange FC launch ceremony was held at the Gangwon FC Youth Academy Center located in Chuncheon.”

On this day, CEO Kim Byeong-ji and youth academy general manager Choi Gyeong-jin, a former futsal national team member, provided special guidance to the players and played games together. After training, we gave snacks to the players and spent meaningful time talking about soccer.

Orange FC selected 12 players, from the youngest born in 1999 to the oldest born in 1976, through a trial in July of this year.

Continuing from last year, we will participate in the K-League women’s soccer tournament Queen Cup (K-WIN CUP) for the second consecutive year.

In addition to regular training hours, coach Cha Yeon-hee and coach Yu Han-byeol set aside time to train with the players, solidifying their strong will for the competition.

CEO Kim Byeong-ji said, “I am very proud that Gangwon FC can contribute to expanding the base of women’s soccer. When I came here in person, I saw that the level of players was much higher than I expected. I heard that there were more teams participating in this competition and the level was higher than last year. He added his support by saying, “If you rank 4th or higher, the same as last competition, we will support you with a special dinner party.”

Lee Go-un, the eldest member of Orange FC, said, “I wasn’t interested in soccer before, but I’m learning about soccer through Orange FC. Soccer has become a driving force in my life and gives me a lot of strength in my daily life.” He added, “I wonder if I can do well at my age.” “I was worried, but the manager and coach taught me in an easy way, so I am training happily. Winning is good, but if we show our unity in the competition, I think good results will follow,” he said.먹튀검증

Meanwhile, the Korea Professional Football League has been holding the Queen Cup since 2010 to expand the base of women’s soccer. Until 2021, it was held as a female college student club competition. However, since last year, the method has changed to one in which K-League clubs directly select players and form teams.

This year’s competition will be held in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province, on October 14th and 15th.
